Event Details
The trail is one of the events of the year in our small residential community. Spread over two days it offers a wide range of visual arts, performances and participatory workshops.

Many of the 70 artists exhibit their stunning work in their own homes while others exhibit in several public venues. Work on display includes painting, photography, drawing, printing, sculpture, ceramics, glasswork, jewellery, textiles and (sometimes) quirky installations. Most artists are present in their venue throughout the trail. We love to discuss our work with visitors and much of the work is on sale for very reasonable prices.

Performing arts play a major part in the trail. Drop in to hear music, dance and poetry in The Community Centre during both afternoons and there is a free "Nearly Unplugged" concert of music and performance poetry on Saturday evening. Check display boards there for who’s playing. A few other venues may have performance events over the weekend.

If you’re feeling creative we also have an entertaining programme of participatory arts, music and drama workshops, both for adults and children, at The Baptist Church. Just turn up on the day and have fun taking part.

Food, too, can be art. The Community Centre will be selling cold snacks and cakes during the day and a vegetarian curry with a bar at the Saturday evening concert. Food is also available at two local pubs. Some other exhibitors also sell home-made cakes, snacks and beverages.

The trail area is quite small and all the 40 venues are walkable for most people, though there are steep hills. If you have limited mobility, some venues are quite close together and many are wheelchair accessible.

Parking is very limited in the trail area. If possible, please leave it for blue badge holders. There is some parking in nearby streets and car parks. Local trains stop at Bedminster on Saturday and buses 75,76 and 90 stop nearby on both days.

Our beautiful brochure booklet is itself a work of art and will be available before and during the weekend.
