The Pankhurst family’s connection with the Suffragette movement is well known, but Sylvia Pankhurst also contributed to the struggle against the Fascist Italian Dictatorship in Ethiopia and settled there with her family.

Helen is an international development and women’s rights activist and writer and will be speaking about her grandmother’s contribution to the Suffragette movement and her life in Ethiopia at a special event in support of For-ethiopia.

She will also be signing copies of her recent book, Deeds not Words.
